Episode 4

Elijah here this time. Hey.

I don’t usually get pulled into the chaos around here. Most days, I’m just trying to keep things running and answer whatever questions come my way.

But this situation… it’s getting harder to ignore.

Not because I don’t know anything. But because I know too much. And the last thing I need is Cindy connecting the dots and dragging me straight into the middle of it

I knew something was off the moment I walked in. The kitchen was quiet – not the peaceful kind, the “Cindy is definitely up to something” kind, And sure enough… there she was.

Standing in front of a bulletin board covered in photos and enough yarn to knit a sweater. She was so focused she didn’t even hear me come in. I watched her pin Betty’s picture to the corner like she was solving a cold case. Normally, I’d laugh. But this time… the board wasn’t completely wrong.

Welp. I’m busted. I went straight into my office and tried to figure out how to get ahead of this. But the more I paced, the more obvious it became – I needed backup.

So I told Jonah. And… well… the man practically fell into next week.

Watching him react made me realize something, though. This whole Mystery Box thing… it’s bigger than Cindy’s board, bigger than my secret, bigger than whatever she thinks she’s figured out.

And she’s close. Really close. Close enough that I can’t help but smile, because once she puts the last piece together… things are about to get a whole lot more interesting around here.
