Episode 2

Episode 2 is here!

Settle in - this chapter starts the moment that “harmless” inventory sheet goes missing.

It started with an inventory sheet. A simple list. A few scribbles. Nothing dramatic. Except… I left it unattended for two seconds.

Cindy found it. Of course she did right?

She tilted her head, squinted at the handwriting like she was decoding ancient hieroglyphics, and before I could even hope she’d put it back down… she walked it straight over to Sharon.

And Sharon? Sharon need explanations. So when Cindy handed her that half‑scribbled, half‑crossed‑out sheet, Sharon didn’t hesitate. She went straight to the boss.

Unfortunately for Elijah… he was standing right there. Elijah always seems to be in the wrong place at the exact wrong time. He doesn’t try to be suspicious - he just is.

So when Sharon cornered him with that list, he panicked. His solution? He crumpled it into a ball and threw it in the trash. Like that would erase the entire situation. It didn’t.

Because I needed that list. If I don’t keep everything straight, someone’s going home with a box of eleven matching candleholders… eleven. And trust me, nobody wants that.

So I dug it out of the trash, but as Elijah and I passed each other in the hallway - that look he gave me, and the one I gave back - it was clear this wasn’t over.

There’s more going on here than anyone realizes. More than Cindy noticing. More than Sharon investigating. More than Elijah panicking.

Something is coming… and it’s not just one box
